Manchester United Concludes Second Summer Signing for £70 Million

Manchester United officials have reached an agreement with their Brentford counterparts to sign Bryan Mbeumo during the current summer transfer window.

The Red Devils’ interest in the Cameroonian international has been ongoing since the beginning of the summer, but there has been significant disagreement between United and Brentford regarding the transfer fee.

According to The Athletic, United will pay a fixed £65 million for the deal, payable in four installments, with an additional £6 million in variables depending on the player’s individual performances and the team’s collective success at Old Trafford.

Mbeumo is United’s second major signing of the summer, following the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha in a deal valued at £60 million.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano indicated that United will now focus its efforts on signing a new striker, but the matter now depends on the sales pitch to finance the expected deal, without specifying the identity of United’s target in this position.

United hopes to sell Marcus Rashford, Anthony, and Alejandro Garnacho and reap huge sums from them, especially since the trio have already been informed that they are not in Amorim’s plans and must find a new club.

United is expected to reap £40 million from the sale of Rashford, and Anthony and Garnacho will be worth no less. The Argentine star received an attractive offer from Aston Villa in the past few hours and may be the first to officially leave.
