Sergio Ramos has become the talk of football fans in recent hours following his performance in his team Monterrey’s match against Inter in the Club World Cup.
The 38-year-old needed only 25 minutes to score the Mexican club’s first goal against the Champions League runners-up, with a more than impressive header.
This header brought to mind Ramos’s memorable goal against Atletico Madrid in the 2014 Champions League final, a very similar header.
The Spanish international delivered one of his most outstanding performances in recent years against Inter, and his defensive efforts helped snatch a valuable point for Monterrey from the Nerazzurri.

Ramos touched the ball 53 times, made 34 passes with a 91% accuracy rate, including three out of five successful long balls. He also won four aerial duels, made four tackles, and cleared 11 balls. Ramos’s outstanding efforts ultimately earned him FIFA’s Man of the Match award, despite the star-studded Inter squad.
The Real Madrid legend wears the number 93 jersey for Monterrey, the number of the minute he scored his historic goal against Atlético Madrid, which he considers the most important goal of his career.
It’s worth noting that Ramos’ goal against Inter was his 145th career goal, having scored 101 goals for Real Madrid, 10 for Sevilla, 6 for Paris Saint-Germain, and 23 for the Spanish national team.
