Al-Hilal manager Simone Inzaghi has emerged among the options under consideration to take charge of Juventus, amid rising questions surrounding Luciano Spalletti’s future and the possibility of initiating a new era within the Italian club.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are weighing different scenarios for the future of their managerial seat, despite the board’s public backing of Spalletti and their desire to avoid a mid-season coaching change.
Inzaghi specifically stands out as a leading candidate to spearhead a new project next June if the club decides to part ways with Spalletti at the end of the season, with Antonio Conte also among the names discussed by the board.
The newspaper notes that the Al-Hilal coach possesses three key assets aligning with Juventus’s needs: a swift ability to adapt to the working environment, developing players to achieve required targets, and factoring in the club’s needs and financial scope when squad building.
However, should results deteriorate and force Juventus into making a swift move, the report suggests the alternative of appointing Conte to launch a long-term project, or bringing in an interim coach such as Stefano Pioli, while the situation continues to be evaluated match by match.
Inzaghi took over at Al-Hilal in June 2025 following his departure from Inter Milan, with the Saudi Pro League organizing body announcing at the time that he signed a two-year contract running until the end of the 2026-2027 season—a timeline that coincides with the summer scenario discussed by the Italian press.
The manager boasts extensive experience in Italian football, having led Inter to the 2023-2024 Serie A title, two Coppa Italia trophies, and three Supercoppa Italiana titles, alongside reaching the Champions League final in 2023 and 2025, having previously secured domestic honors with Lazio.
Nevertheless, his potential move to Juventus remains a future prospect; the report revealed no ongoing negotiations with Al-Hilal or any agreement with Inzaghi. Meanwhile, any decision remains tied to Spalletti’s fate, the board’s strategy for next season, and the Italian coach’s stance on continuing his Saudi Arabian venture.
