David Beckham has reaped fresh financial rewards from the commercial momentum surrounding the 2026 World Cup, with the former England captain securing a dividend payout worth approximately $51 million (€44 million).
According to a report published by the Financial Times and cited by Foot Mercato, the payout originates from Beckham’s commercial empire following a year of record profit growth and several high-profile World Cup-related partnerships.
Financial filings from DRJB Holdings, the parent umbrella managing Beckham’s brand activities, revealed a pre-tax profit surge of nearly 46%, reaching approximately £50 million.
Company revenues concurrently rose to £84 million—up from £72.2 million the previous year—fueled by Beckham’s expanded advertising presence ahead of the tournament co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Beckham secured new brand partnerships with McDonald’s, Lay’s (PepsiCo), and Verizon, while also featuring in World Cup advertising campaigns for Bank of America and Lenovo.
Separate marketing estimates indicate that Beckham earned roughly £19 million from World Cup commercials alone, appearing frequently across match-day advertising slots.
These commercial gains come 13 years after his retirement from professional football, proving that the 51-year-old remains one of the world’s most marketable former athletes.
Beckham previously sold a 55% stake in his brand management business to Authentic Brands in 2022 for approximately £200 million, while the latest financial statements also disclosed additional special dividend distributions to shareholders following the close of the financial year.
