The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) has revealed the financial and individual awards for the 27th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup (Gulf 27), taking place in the Saudi city of Jeddah.
Jassim Al-Rumaihi, General Secretary of the AGCFF, announced the prize breakdown during press statements, confirming full coordination with the organizing committee and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation to deliver an exceptional tournament.
“The champion will receive $1 million, while the runner-up will be awarded $500,000. Furthermore, the Player of the Tournament will be presented with a residential apartment,” Al-Rumaihi stated, noting that the country and exact location of the property will be determined at a later date.
Gulf 27 features 15 matches hosted across Jeddah venues, featuring national teams from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen.
Bahrain enter as defending champions, having captured the title in the previous edition in Kuwait by coming from behind to secure a 2–1 victory over Oman, adding a second crown following their inaugural triumph in 2019.
Kuwait remain the most successful nation in Gulf Cup history with 10 titles, followed by Iraq with four, and Saudi Arabia and Qatar with three titles each. Bahrain, the UAE, and Oman hold two titles apiece.
The current edition carries particular significance for hosts Saudi Arabia, who are staging the tournament for the fifth time but seeking their first triumph since Gulf 16 in 2003. Meanwhile, Yemen remain the sole participating nation yet to claim a Gulf Cup title.
