Legendary Zinedine Zidane praised Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, saying he had never seen anything like this in his entire football career.
The 17-year-old Yamal led Barcelona to a domestic treble this season and was on the verge of reaching the Champions League final, had it not been for a 4-3 defeat to Inter Milan in the semi-finals.
Zizou spoke about Yamal in an interview with Marca, saying, “When I saw him play, for example, in the semi-final against Inter, I said to myself, ‘I’ve never seen anything like this in my life!'”
He added, “You just have to watch and enjoy someone who has such incredible control of the game on the pitch. It’s amazing to see him like that.”
He concluded, “We all enjoyed watching him, and that’s why, for all these young players, Lamine is the player to watch.”
It’s worth noting that Yamal has just renewed his contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2031, remaining Real Madrid’s top competitor for the next six years.
