Zidane Announces Return to Coaching Soon

Former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that he will return to coaching and revealed the team he dreams of managing in the near future.

Since leaving Real Madrid in 2022, Zidane has not returned to coaching. His name has been linked to several major European clubs, including Saudi Arabia, and the Algerian national team has reportedly also tried to sign him.

When asked about his future, Zidane said, “I will definitely return to coaching. That’s my plan.”

As for his next destination, he said, “My desire is to become the coach of the French national team one day. Let’s see what happens.”

French media outlets have confirmed that the French Football Federation has an agreement with Zidane to take over as coach of the national team after Didier Deschamps’s tenure ends at the end of the 2026 World Cup.

The same reports also suggested that Zidane is not currently interested in any job other than coaching France, even though several major European clubs have attempted to secure his services, especially since he prefers stability and working in an environment similar to that of Real Madrid.
