Zamalek secured a valuable 1-1 draw against Congolese side Otoho in the first leg of their 2026 CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal.
The home side took the lead in the 14th minute with a superb free-kick from Charles Attebo.
The White Knights quickly equalized through Palestinian star Oday Dabbagh, who scored with a brilliant first-time shot with his right foot.
In the second half, a goal by Seifeddine Jaziri was disallowed for offside, but fortunately for Moataz Gamal’s men, they escaped with this result after Otoho squandered several clear-cut chances.

With this result, Zamalek only needs a goalless draw or a win in the second leg to reach the semifinals.
The return leg will be played next Friday at Cairo International Stadium. If Zamalek overcomes Otoho, they will face the winner of the match between Al Masry and CR Belouizdad.
