Youssef En-Nesyri’s move to Juventus collapses

Juventus’ chief strategic officer, Giorgio Chiellini, has announced that Youssef En-Nesyri will not be joining the Bianconeri this winter.

The Moroccan star was a top priority for Juve to bolster their attack, and it was reported that an agreement was imminent between the two parties in recent hours.

Ultimately, however, the deal fell through, not due to Juventus, but because of En-Nesyri’s insistence on leaving his current club, Fenerbahçe, permanently.

“We cannot buy En-Nesyri outright, so the negotiations are over for us,” Chiellini told reporters.

“We spoke with the player, and he expressed some doubts about the terms of the transfer. Therefore, the negotiations are over for us now. We cannot and do not want to buy him outright.”

Chiellini left the door slightly open for the possibility of completing the deal, provided the player reverses his previous decision and agrees to a loan move to the Allianz Stadium.

At the moment, Sevilla has emerged as a possible destination for En-Nesyri, who wants to leave Fenerbahce by any means this winter, and Premier League clubs, most notably Everton, are still monitoring the situation.
