Barcelona star Lamine Yamal expressed his happiness at winning the Copa del Rey, noting that he wasn’t worried even when Real Madrid took the lead in the second half.
Barcelona held the upper hand until the 70th minute when Kylian Mbappé equalized for Real Madrid. Aurelien Tchouameni then scored the opening goal for Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the 77th minute.
Minutes later, Ferran Torres equalized, forcing extra time, during which Jules Kounde scored the winning goal.
After the match, Yamal reflected on those events, saying, “Even if we concede a goal, it’s not a crisis. Even if we concede two goals, it’s still not a crisis.”
He added, “Simply put, this year they (Real Madrid) can’t beat us. We’ve proven that more than once. I’m really happy.”
The Copa del Rey final Clásico victory is Barcelona’s third consecutive victory over Real Madrid this season, following a 4-0 La Liga win at the Santiago Bernabéu and a 5-2 Super Cup win in Saudi Arabia.
