Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has denied any news that hints at the possibility of his departure from the Catalan club, after he announced that he dreams of becoming a legend at Camp Nou.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta had announced that he received an offer of 250 million euros last year for Yamal, but he rejected it.
The 17-year-old’s contract with Barça extends until 2026, and it is assumed that the management will work to grant him his first professional contract next year with a significant increase in his salary and for the longest possible period.
Yamal said in this regard, “I would like history to remember me as a legend for Barcelona. I dream of having a legacy and remaining in the minds of the fans. It would be incredible.”
He also added, “The big players treat us as if we are one of them, and this is something I appreciate a lot. We are still children, but we like to be treated like adults.”
“I enjoy it a lot when I receive the ball and the crowd starts cheering for me. This motivates me a lot and gives me a feeling I have never felt before,” he concluded.
