Barcelona’s star player, Lamine Yamal, deliberately provoked Villarreal fans during the Catalan club’s 2-0 victory on Sunday in the 17th round of La Liga.
The 18-year-old was responsible for Renato Vega receiving a red card after the latter’s reckless challenge on him in the final moments of the first half.
From then on, Villarreal fans booed Yamal every time he touched the ball.
As usual, Yamal was unfazed by the boos and whistles, scoring Barcelona’s second goal and effectively ending any hopes of a Villarreal comeback. He then proceeded to further provoke the Yellow Submarine supporters.
Yamal walked towards the Villarreal fans and whistled with his hand, seemingly responding to the boos and whistles he had endured throughout the match.
Yamal has now scored nine goals in 19 appearances across all competitions this season, in addition to providing 11 assists.
