Wydad President Sets One Condition for Signing Cristiano Ronaldo!

Hicham Ait Mena, president of Wydad, confirmed that his club is interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo for the 2025 Club World Cup, despite his awareness that the matter is extremely difficult.

The Portuguese has not yet made a decision on whether to renew his contract with Al-Nassr or leave, while reports of various clubs attempting to sign him for the Club World Cup continue, most recently Wydad.

The president of the Moroccan club responded to this by saying, “If we have a one-in-a-billion chance of signing Ronaldo for the Club World Cup, we will pursue it.”

However, at the same time, Hicham set one condition for completing the deal: the 40-year-old’s salary and the need to reduce it.

In this regard, the Wydad president said, “It is impossible to bear the same amount as Ronaldo’s current salary with Al-Nassr (approximately 16 million euros per month).”

He concluded, “But he’s welcome if he wants to join us at the Club World Cup, because we know he’s a star whose goal isn’t just to make money.”

Wydad is in the Group of Death at the Club World Cup, where they will face Manchester City, Juventus, and Al Ain of the UAE.

It’s worth noting that Egypt’s Al Ahly has also been linked with a deal to sign Ronaldo, and Brazilian clubs are also said to be pursuing the player, but no official steps have been taken so far.
