FIFA has announced the best players in the 2025 Club World Cup after Chelsea won the title against Paris Saint-Germain in the final, defeating the French club 3-0 at MetLife Stadium.
The pleasant surprise was the presence of two Arab stars in the squad: Achraf Hakimi, the Paris Saint-Germain full-back, and Yassine Bounou, the Al-Hilal goalkeeper, despite Chelsea’s Robert Sanchez winning the tournament’s best goalkeeper award.
As expected, players from Paris and Chelsea dominated the list due to their success in the tournament. Only one Real Madrid player was present: young striker Gonzalo Garcia, the tournament’s top scorer with four goals.
In addition to the PSG and Chelsea players, Garcia and Bounou, FIFA also selected two players from Brazilian club Fluminense, which reached the semi-finals: captain Thiago Silva and striker John Arias.
The squad also omitted Desiree Doue, winner of the Best Young Player award, and perhaps the biggest surprise was the complete absence of Paris Saint-Germain’s attacking lineup, including Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bradley Barcola, and others.
