Will Zidane take over as coach of Bayern Munich?

The German network “Sky” denied the reports circulating about Bayern Munich officials entering into negotiations with Zinedine Zidane to coach the team next season.

The newspaper “Marca” had indicated that there had been contact between Bayern and Zidane to find out his position on taking charge of Bayern, succeeding Thomas Tuchel, at the end of the current season.

But Sky confirms that this news is completely false, and that Bayern does not include Zidane in its calculations at the current moment.

Zizou’s name was not mentioned at Bayern until a month ago, and at that time he had the option of assuming responsibility immediately in the event of Tuchel’s dismissal, but now Bavarian is considering other options.

Julian Nagelsmann tops Bayern Munich’s list of new coaches, followed by current Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbe, and then Austria coach Ralf Rangnick.

It is worth noting that those close to Zidane confirmed that he welcomes coaching Bayern because of the club’s institutional system that reminds him of Real Madrid, but the language barrier remains a fundamental reason for the German club’s preference for Nagelsmann in particular.
