Will Ter Stegen move to Inter?

Spanish media outlets have reported in recent hours that advanced negotiations are underway between Barcelona and Inter Milan regarding the Italian club’s signing of goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen during the current summer transfer window.

It’s no secret that Barcelona is seeking every means at its disposal to get rid of Ter Stegen after signing Juan Garcia and renewing Szczesny’s contract. Meanwhile, the German international remains committed to remaining with the Catalan club despite the club’s management’s decisions against him, including stripping him of the captaincy.

Recent reports indicated that Inter had entered into negotiations with Ter Stegen and Barcelona. This came after goalkeeper Yann Sommer received an offer from a Turkish club, and the Nerazzurri were in need of a new goalkeeper with the necessary quality and experience.

However, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano categorically denied this news, confirming that Inter had not contacted Ter Stegen, or even Barcelona.

At the moment, 33-year-old Ter Stegen is out of Inter’s plans, and the goalkeeper himself has no intention of considering new offers after already rejecting offers from Monaco, Chelsea, and Galatasaray over the past month.

Barcelona is awaiting the return to training and the start of preparations for the new season, during which a meeting between Ter Stegen and coach Hansi Flick is expected to be held, potentially decisive.

It’s worth noting that Ter Stegen’s camp has demanded the full value of his contract, more than €40 million, in order to agree to terminate his contract and leave this summer.
