Will Mbappé play against Real Sociedad after his recent injury?

Kylian Mbappé missed Real Madrid’s training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, sparking speculation about a possible recurrence of his injury and the possibility of a lengthy absence from the club.

The French international suffered a knee injury at the beginning of the year, which sidelined him for three matches, before making his return, despite the pain, in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona in Jeddah.

Since then, Mbappé has been playing regularly despite doubts about his fitness. In recent days, it was suggested that he might have to take a break to fully recover, especially since the knee injury threatens his participation in the 2026 World Cup with France.

However, according to the newspaper AS, all the rumors are completely unfounded, and Mbappé is not suffering from any injury.

Mbappé’s absence from training on Wednesday and Thursday was a precautionary measure after he felt some discomfort. The pain has since subsided, and the player participated fully in Friday’s training session without any problems.

Kylian Mbappé will lead Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad in Saturday’s match against Real Sociedad, contrary to earlier reports that he might be rested to prepare for Tuesday’s Champions League game against Benfica.

Arbeloa confirmed this in Friday’s press conference, stating that Mbappé is fit and available for the Sociedad match and has recovered from his injury.

The 25-year-old is Real Madrid’s top scorer in all competitions this season, having netted 38 goals in 51 appearances, in addition to providing five assists.
