Kylian Mbappé has partially recovered after Real Madrid announced his release from the hospital and his return to the team’s training camp in the United States.
The French international missed Al Hilal’s first match in the Club World Cup after suffering from a high fever resulting from acute gastroenteritis, which required his immediate transfer to a Miami hospital.
Real Madrid later issued a statement announcing that Mbappé had recovered and been discharged from the hospital, but without specifying his position in the Pachuca match scheduled for next Sunday.
According to the newspaper “AS,” Mbappé is unlikely to participate in the Pachuca match, as he has not yet participated in training and is still suffering from the effects of his illness.
Coach Xabi Alonso does not want to risk the 25-year-old and prefers to wait until Mbappé is 100% ready to train and participate in matches.
Mbappé is expected to undergo another medical examination in the coming hours to assess his response to treatment and the development of his condition. It’s likely that the examination will yield no new results, and the player will be sidelined for Real Madrid’s match against Pachuca.
It’s worth noting that Real Madrid needs a win against the Mexican club after drawing 1-1 with Al-Hilal in the first round at Hard Rock Stadium.
