Will Heung-Min Son move to Milan next January?

Reliable Italian journalist Matteo Moretto revealed the truth about Milan’s attempts to sign Heung-Min Son on loan from Los Angeles during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The MLS season ends in mid-November, after which the players will hibernate until March. It has been reported that Son wants to play consistently and at a high level to be fully prepared to lead the South Korean national team at the 2026 World Cup.

Milan has emerged as a potential option for Son, given Massimiliano Allegri’s reported desire to sign an experienced attacking player, especially after the success of Luka Modric in recent months and his positive impact at San Siro.

However, according to Moretto, this circulating news is unfounded, and Son’s name has not appeared with Milan’s management in recent weeks, contrary to what has been reported.

The renowned journalist confirms that Allegri has not asked for Son and does not want to sign a new winger in the winter. He is instead looking to sign a striker with different qualities than his current attacking options, and this does not apply to Son.

In any case, a January loan move for the 33-year-old Son remains on the table, but not to Milan.

It should be noted that Son has participated in 10 matches with Los Angeles this season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists, leading his team to the crucial playoff stage in the MLS.
