Will Barcelona struggle to register Marcus Rashford?

The main concern of Barcelona fans over the past two days has been the transfer of Marcus Rashford, with the main question being how easy it will be for him to register and how quickly he will be involved in official matches for the Catalan club in the new season.

Barcelona will sign the England international on loan from Manchester United for almost free, with an option to buy next summer for just €35 million.

Barcelona has traditionally struggled to register any new signing due to Financial Fair Play regulations. This may have been the primary reason for the collapse of Neco Williams’ move to Camp Nou, as he wanted written guarantees that would give him the freedom to leave if the Catalans failed to register him at the start of the season.

According to Sport, Rashford has not requested any guarantees and is willing to wait until the last minute to register with Barcelona. However, the good news for the player is that his registration process will be smooth and not difficult, and he is not expected to be delayed or miss out on his first La Liga match.

With Rashford taking a 15-25% pay cut, and the fact that the deal is on loan, Barcelona will only need to offload one of its players to secure his transfer without any problems. These players are already known to be leaving Camp Nou.

In the coming days, Barcelona hopes to see the departures of Iñaki Peña, Oriol Romeu, and Andreas Christensen. Any of these departures would be enough to secure the 27-year-old, who will travel with Barça on their Asian tour.

It’s worth noting that Rashford will be the only non-European player on Barcelona’s roster for the new season (England is not in the Euro zone), despite the presence of Rafinha and Araujo, the former of whom holds Italian citizenship and the latter of whom holds Spanish citizenship.
