There has been a lot of news in recent days about Santiago Solari’s imminent departure from Real Madrid after a three-year tenure at the Santiago Bernabéu as sporting director.
Solari was best known as a coach with Real Madrid when he succeeded Julen Lopetegui at the helm of the club for just six months between 2018 and 2019. He was then fired and went to work in Mexico, returning to the club in 2022 in an administrative role.

Renowned journalist Pepe Álvarez confirmed that Solari will not remain at Real Madrid for long, and that the decision is not solely his, but rather comes from the club’s management, which believes it needs administrative renewal to meet the requirements of the upcoming important period of competition.
Solari’s departure will be officially announced once he receives a good coaching offer, as a sign of appreciation from Perez for the 48-year-old’s contributions to Real Madrid in various positions.
It’s worth noting that Solari’s most recent contribution to Real Madrid was securing the signing of Franco Mastrantuono from River Plate, after he personally intervened and persuaded the player to move to Los Blancos despite the substantial offer he received from Paris Saint-Germain.
