Argentine media outlets have been speculating about Franco Mastantuno’s future at Real Madrid less than six months after his move to the club.
Mastantuno started the season very well with Real Madrid and had already secured a regular starting place in Xabi Alonso’s lineup, before suffering a groin injury that turned everything upside down.
Some Argentine newspapers have suggested that Real Madrid is considering loaning out the 18-year-old in January, similar to the situations with Andrej and Leon, hoping he will get consistent playing time to help him develop.
However, journalist Fabrizio Romano has denied all these rumors, confirming that the Argentine star will remain at Real Madrid and is considered an indispensable pillar of Florentino Pérez’s squad.
Alonso has great faith in Mastanu’s abilities and considers him a key player. Even though he hasn’t featured regularly lately, this is expected to change in the coming period, and he should return to the starting lineup.
It’s worth noting that the player, born in 2007, has made 14 appearances for Real Madrid this season across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
