Wessam Abou Ali leaves Al Ahly for a historic fee!

Wessam Abou Ali is close to completing his departure from Al Ahly, and according to Arab media, the Palestinian star has already chosen his next destination.

Abu Ali had expressed his desire to leave Al Ahly after his impressive performance in the 2025 Club World Cup and receiving offers from the Arab region, Europe, and America, with a large salary more than double his current salary with the Red Castle.

The Qatari newspaper Al Raya revealed that Abou Ali is on the verge of a move to Al Rayyan Club, after reaching an agreement with the Qatari club’s officials on all the details.

A representative from Al Rayyan is currently in Cairo to negotiate with Al Ahly regarding the transfer fee for Abou Ali. He will undergo a medical this week if the negotiations between the concerned parties are successful.

According to various reports, Al Rayyan offered Al Ahly $8 million for Wessam Abou Ali, plus a percentage of the resale value, while the Egyptian club was planning to generate at least $10 million for the 24-year-old.

The two sides are expected to reach common ground in the coming hours, given the player’s insistence on leaving. He will receive $3 million annually from Al Rayyan, according to the agreement between the two parties.

Al Wasl has entered the negotiations in the last few hours, but Abou Ali still prefers a move to Al Rayyan. The Emirati club’s offer, valued at $6 million, is far from what Mahmoud El Khatib’s management demands.

It should be noted that Abou Ali joined Al Ahly two years ago for just $2 million. Since then, he has scored 38 goals in all competitions, becoming the Egyptian club’s top scorer and virtually the number one star in coach Rivero’s squad.
