According to Sky Sports, the Spanish giants have no intention of selling the Brazilian winger this summer, and the board remains confident that an agreement will soon be reached over a contract renewal.
Real Madrid are scheduled to hold a new round of talks with Vinícius’s representatives this week in a bid to finalize a long-term deal and put an end to rumors regarding his future.
Arsenal had been closely monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation as they sought a marquee signing to bolster their left flank, hoping to capitalize on the player entering the final stage of his current contract.
However, manager José Mourinho is adamant about keeping Vinícius, viewing him as a cornerstone of his new project at the Santiago Bernabéu. This stance pushed the Real Madrid hierarchy to firmly reject any idea of cashing in on him this summer.
Furthermore, Sky Sports highlighted that Real Madrid’s pursuit of Yan Diomande is entirely independent of Vinícius’s future; the club intends to pair the two wingers together rather than replace one with the other.
With Vinícius’s current contract running until the summer of 2027, extension negotiations will continue until an official deal is signed. For now, however, a departure from Madrid this summer is off the table.
