Vinicius Junior has no intention of moving to the Saudi League if he leaves Real Madrid next summer. He prefers to join a top club in one of Europe’s top five leagues should he be forced to leave the Santiago Bernabéu.
Negotiations to renew Vinicius’ contract with Real Madrid remain frozen and extremely complicated. Media reports indicate that the club’s management will force the player to leave next June if he refuses to renew, in order to recoup some money from his sale rather than lose him for free in the summer of 2027.
The Saudi League has been mentioned as a possible destination for Vinicius, as only Saudi clubs can afford the hefty price tag Real Madrid is demanding (over €150 million), in addition to being able to offer him an astronomical salary that would make him one of the highest-paid athletes in the world.
According to renowned journalist Rudra, Vinicius is not interested in moving to the Saudi League, regardless of the financial offer presented to him.
The 25-year-old believes it is far too early to leave Europe at this stage of his career, and if he were to leave Real Madrid, he would only consider a move to a top-tier European club.
British media outlets have reported that Chelsea are interested in signing Vinicius, but Rodra insists there has been no contact between the Blues’ management and the player’s representatives, and that the reports are merely unfounded rumors.
Vinicius would be an attractive option for major English clubs in particular, as they are the ones with the financial capacity to meet his desired salary (30 million euros annually). Manchester United or Arsenal would likely be the most logical choices for the player should his time in the Spanish capital come to an end.
It’s worth noting that Vinicius has recently faced significant criticism from Real Madrid fans, including boos and whistles at the Bernabéu stadium. This could hasten his departure, especially since he has expressed his displeasure with the treatment in various ways, but to no avail.
