“Vinicius Junior is a sociopath”

Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior faced widespread criticism for his actions against Real Oviedo fans at Carlos Tartiti Stadium on Sunday.

Vini came on as a substitute for Rodrygo in the second half, scoring a goal and assisting another, and then got into an inexplicable altercation with Oviedo fans.

There is disagreement about the beginning of the crisis between Vinicius and Oviedo fans. Some journalists say the fans booed and chanted at him first, while others suggest that the player provoked the fans by saying, “Your place is second division.”

In any case, the fans directed hostile chants at Vinicius for his provocation, while the player celebrated in an exaggerated manner in front of the stands and repeated the phrase “second division” in full view of everyone after scoring the third goal.

Former Oviedo goalkeeper Esteban Suárez commented on the Brazilian player’s actions, saying, “Vinicius is a sociopath.”

He added, “Vinicius had never been to the Tarteta Stadium before, and yet he managed to get 30,000 fans to boo him.”

He concluded, “There was no history of controversies, but Vinicius came in and told the fans: ‘Return to the second division.'”

It’s worth noting that after the match, Vinicius confirmed that he didn’t care much about what had happened or the controversy surrounding it, simply saying, “I am like this.”
