English football legend Jamie Vardy will remain in Europe, and he is currently most likely to move to a surprising club in the Italian league.
Vardy left Leicester City at the end of his contract last June, and it was reported that the 38-year-old was likely to move to the American League.
However, in recent days, newly promoted Cremonese have entered serious negotiations with Vardy, reaching very advanced stages, making the Premier League star’s move to “football paradise” only a matter of time.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Cremonese had submitted a new, improved offer to Vardy in the past few hours, in line with his financial desires, and that the final decision rests solely with the player.
Vardy asked Cremonese to give him a few hours to consult with his family before officially announcing his final decision, noting that sources close to him are likely to complete the deal.
Vardy was one of Leicester City’s key stars in their historic 2016 Premier League title triumph, scoring 136 goals in 307 appearances for the Foxes across all competitions from 2014 through last season.
