The excitement of the seventh round of the 2025-26 Saudi Professional League continued, this time at Al-Awwal Park Stadium with the Al-Nassr vs. Al-Fayha match, which came to a dramatic and highly controversial finish.
Al-Fayha took the lead in the 13th minute through Jason Remeseiro, before Cristiano Ronaldo equalized in the 37th minute. The score remained level until the 98th minute.
An Al-Fayha defender handled the ball, and after protests from Al-Nassr players, the referee consulted VAR and ultimately awarded a penalty, despite strong objections from the visitors.
As usual, Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up to take the penalty, and with a stunning finish, he found the back of the net, scoring Al-Nassr’s second goal of the match and securing a precious victory for the club in the dying moments.

By scoring two goals, Ronaldo reached 952 career goals, moving one step closer to his current biggest dream of reaching 1,000 goals before retiring.
Ronaldo has now contributed to 16 goals in 14 matches, for both Al-Nassr and the Portuguese national team, with 14 goals and 2 assists.
