Erling Haaland continued his impressive form this season with Manchester City, scoring twice in Pep Guardiola’s side’s 3-1 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The Norwegian international opened the scoring for City in the 13th minute after a brilliant through ball from Rayan Cherki, then doubled the Blues’ lead in the 33rd minute.
Haaland has now scored 13 Premier League goals this season after the first nine rounds, putting him seven goals clear at the top of the scoring charts ahead of second-placed Jean-Philippe Mateta, Danny Welbeck, Igor Tiago, and Anthony Simeone.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old has now scored 98 goals in 107 Premier League appearances since joining City three years ago.
Haaland is now just two goals away from his 100th Premier League goal, a feat that would make him the fastest player to reach that milestone, surpassing all the legends of the English competition.
Alan Shearer currently holds the record, reaching 100 goals in just 124 appearances. Haaland could easily break that record, reflecting his phenomenal productivity, which is currently unmatched by any other player in the world.
