According to British reports, officials at the London club are closely monitoring the situation of the 28-year-old following the end of his loan spell at FC Barcelona and his return to the Red Devils.

However, the primary obstacle to the deal lies in the hesitation of certain Manchester United executives regarding selling Rashford to a direct Premier League rival. United management fears that the academy graduate could rediscover his top form in another English shirt, which could cause significant embarrassment if he performs well in the league.

So far, Rashford has not received suitable foreign offers, except for interest from Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe—both of which were turned down by the player. Meanwhile, other European options have yet to materialize into concrete bids.

The English forward is expected to start pre-season training with Manchester United as normal while a suitable resolution for his future is sought, whether that means staying at Old Trafford or moving on this summer.

Rashford returns to his parent club following a season-long loan at Barcelona, where he scored 14 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions. However, the Catalan giants decided not to trigger their option to buy him permanently.

With his contract at Manchester United running until the summer of 2028, the board remains in a strong position to either reintegrate him into the squad or await a fitting offer from abroad.
