The Spurs are enduring their worst season in recent history, teetering on the brink of relegation with just four matches remaining.

Roberto De Zerbi, who took over a month ago, had failed to secure a single win until the victory at Molineux against Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have already been relegated to the Championship.

In the 82nd minute, João Palhinha capitalized on the London club’s dominance, scoring the winning goal against Wolves and securing Tottenham’s first three points in the Premier League in 2026.

Tottenham were on the verge of escaping the relegation zone as well, but Callum Wilson’s 92nd-minute goal for West Ham against Everton secured a crucial victory for the London club at the London Stadium.

Nottingham Forest also moved further away from the relegation zone after a resounding 5-0 win over Sunderland on Friday.

Nottingham Forest sit in 16th place with 39 points, followed by West Ham in 17th with 36 points. Tottenham remain in the 18th and final relegation spot with 34 points.

Tottenham’s remaining fixtures are against Aston Villa, Leeds United, and Everton, while West Ham face Brentford, Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Leeds United.

Nottingham Forest have the toughest schedule, with matches against Chelsea, Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Bournemouth, and they also play Aston Villa in the Europa League semi-final during the same period.
