Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with a new coach to succeed Ange Postecoglou as the London club’s manager next season.
Although the Australian coach led Spurs to a European title in decades, and their first since 2008, Daniel Levy’s management decided to sack him due to Tottenham’s poor Premier League position.
According to the English press, Thomas Frank, the current Brentford manager, will be the new Tottenham manager starting next season.
After discussions with Levy and his management, the Danish coach decided to accept the position, and all personal terms and the new project for Spurs under his leadership were agreed upon.
Tottenham and Brentford remain to agree on a fee for the coach’s departure, especially since his contract with the other London club still runs until the summer of 2027.
Frank, 51, is one of the most prominent Premier League managers in recent years, having successfully returned Brentford to the competition and then enjoyed three successful seasons with them, avoiding relegation and playing a competitive game against all the top teams.
