Real Madrid issued an official statement announcing that Aurélien Tchouaméni suffered an injury during his participation in the Champions League semi-final second leg match against Bayern Munich.
The French star left the match in the second half and was replaced by Luka Modric, and there were no signs of his injury until then.
However, according to the statement, Tchouaméni complained of pain in his left foot and subsequently underwent medical examinations on Thursday, which confirmed that he suffered from a muscle strain.
Real Madrid did not announce in the statement the player’s position on the match against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final, or the duration of his absence in general.
However, the newspaper “Marca” and the network “The Athletic” indicated that pessimism is spreading throughout Real Madrid regarding the possibility of Tchouaméni playing in the Dortmund match on June 1 at Wembley Stadium.
The newspapers put only 20% of the possibility of the 23-year-old participating in the final, while the newspaper “L’Equipe” says that the player is ready to endure as much pain as possible if necessary to support the Merengue in the upcoming summit.
Tchouaméni is one of the main pillars of coach Carlo Ancelotti this season, as he played 38 matches in all tournaments and can be relied upon as a center back or in the defensive midfield.
It remains to be noted that, so far, there are no Real Madrid absences from the final match except David Alaba, who has been absent for a long time due to a ruptured cruciate ligament.
