The tragedies of Real Madrid’s past…an obscure club offers Dortmund help

Alcorcon Club, which is in the Spanish second division, mocked Real Madrid and its qualification for the Champions League final, by offering to help Borussia Dortmund pass the Royal Club and win the title.

Alcorcon AD is the same club that defeated Real Madrid in 2009 in the round of 16 of the King’s Cup and won 4-0. At that time, it was playing in the third division, and its match with The Merengue is classified as one of the biggest surprises in football history.

The club, which is located on the outskirts of the Spanish capital, Madrid, wrote on X to Dortmund, “If you want some advice on beating Real Madrid, we can help you.”

The tweet, which received great interaction on various social media outlets, also continued, “We can speak a little German and guide you to defeat them easily.”

Alcorcon’s victory over Real Madrid in 2009 was despite the participation of many Merengue stars at the time, led by Karim Benzema, Raul Gonzalez, Alvaro Arbeloa and Rafael van der Vaart.

It is noteworthy that Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund on June 1 at Wembley Stadium in the Champions League final.
