Renowned journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior will receive a staggering offer from the Saudi League in the coming weeks to join one of its top clubs during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Jacobs asserts that renewal negotiations between Vinicius and Real Madrid are completely frozen, even after Xabi Alonso’s dismissal as manager of the Royal Club. He indicates that recent reports of a breakthrough are unfounded.
Currently, it seems likely that the Brazilian international will leave Real Madrid. Al-Ahli Saudi is closely monitoring the situation, as the club aspires to bring Vinicius to the Saudi League and is prepared to offer him an annual contract worth €350 million, bringing his total salary during his time with the club to €1 billion.
If this transfer materializes, it would be the highest salary in football history, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo’s current €200 million salary at Al-Nassr.
There have been ongoing talks between Vinicius and Saudi Pro League officials for a year now. Although the player publicly affirms his desire to stay with Real Madrid, he has also left the door open for a move to Al-Ahli next summer.
Florentino Perez’s administration would be open to selling Vinicius in the summer of 2026 if renewal negotiations remain as they are. The scenario of him staying until the end of his contract in the summer of 2027 is completely unacceptable, as the club does not want to lose him for free at any cost.
