The dates for the 2024-2025 Spanish League matches were set on Tuesday evening, and with them the dates for the Real Madrid and Barcelona matches in the La Liga Clasico of the new season were revealed.
The first round match in the 11th round of La Liga will be held at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
This match will be the first Clasico played by Hansi Flick as coach of Barcelona, and the first Clasico in which Kylian Mbappé is supposed to appear in a Real Madrid shirt, noting that the Frenchman has an exceptional record against Barcelona by previously scoring 6 goals against the Blaugrana.
As for the second round match, it will come within the thirty-fifth round, that is, three rounds before the end of the League, and thus it may be decisive in the fate of the title.
The match is scheduled to be played at the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium on May 11, 2025.
It is noteworthy that this match will most likely not be the only match that will bring together Real Madrid and Barcelona next season, as it is possible that they will meet in the Spanish Super Cup during the month of January in Saudi Arabia.
It remains to be noted that Real Madrid outperformed Barça in all its matches last season, as it won in the Catalan club’s stronghold 2-1 and in the Santiago Bernabeu 3-2, and crushed Xavi Hernandez’s squad in the Super Cup final 4-1.
