The South African club was the first to qualify for the final after defeating Espérance Sportive de Tunis 1-0 in Tunisia, a victory they repeated in the second leg with the same scoreline.

On the other side, Raja Casablanca secured their place in the final with a 2-0 win over RS Berkane in Rabat, but held on for a 1-0 victory in the return leg at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.

This marks Raja Casablanca’s first appearance in the CAF Champions League final since their triumph in 1985.

Sundowns were also in the final last year, losing to Pyramids FC, and their sole title came in 2016 against Zamalek.

2026 CAF Champions League Final Date
