After much anticipation, the 2026 CAF Champions League final will be decided, pitting Raja Casablanca against Mamelodi Sundowns in a highly anticipated and unpredictable clash.
On the other side, Raja Casablanca secured their place in the final with a 2-0 win over RS Berkane in Rabat, but held on for a 1-0 victory in the return leg at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.
This marks Raja Casablanca’s first appearance in the CAF Champions League final since their triumph in 1985.
Sundowns were also in the final last year, losing to Pyramids FC, and their sole title came in 2016 against Zamalek.
2026 CAF Champions League Final Date
As usual, the 2026 CAF Champions League final will be played over two legs, unlike the current two-legged format of the UEFA Champions League and the AFC Champions League.
The first leg between Mamelodi Sundowns and FAR Rabat will take place on May 15, 2026, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in South Africa.
The second leg and trophy presentation will be held at the same stadium that hosted the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, on May 24.

CAF Champions League 2026 Prizes
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a significant increase in prize money for the 2025-2026 CAF Champions League season. The champion will receive $6 million USD, a 50% increase compared to previous seasons.
