Cristiano Ronaldo gave his teammate Joao Felix a precious gift during Al Nassr’s match against Al Ittihad in the 2025 Saudi Super Cup semi-final.
Al Nassr took the lead with a wonderful goal by Sadio Mané in the 10th minute, before Al Ittihad equalized through Steven Bergwijn six minutes later. Jorge Jesus’s side finished the match with ten men after Mané’s red card in the 25th minute.
In the 61st minute, Cristiano Ronaldo found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Hamed Al-Shanqeeti, and the Portuguese had the chance to score Al Nassr’s second goal. With the goal unguarded, he decided to pass the ball to Joao Felix, who scored his first goal for Al Nassr and a precious goal for the Knights of Najd.

Joao Felix certainly celebrated this goal with Ronaldo, a further indication of Ronaldo’s leadership role and how he encourages young players.
Ronaldo played a major role in Al-Nassr’s signing of João Félix. He was the first to recommend him to the Saudi club, and he personally intervened in the negotiations and convinced his compatriot of the value of meeting them together at Parc des Princes.
Perhaps the Portuguese national team will benefit most from this situation, as it is a good opportunity to increase the chemistry between Ronaldo and Félix before participating in the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
