Florentino Pérez’s administration has already begun searching for a coach with a long and distinguished history in football to bring to the Spanish capital.
Many names have been mentioned, and now Enrique’s name has emerged as a potential option, given Pérez and his administration’s appreciation for the Catalan coach’s exceptional personality and the fact that he is one of the few coaches capable of instilling discipline in the dressing room while delivering attractive football and leading the team to titles.
There is no doubt that Luis Enrique taking over at Real Madrid would be one of the biggest surprises in the world of football, especially given his strong ties to Barcelona. He has repeatedly stated that he is a Barça fan, despite having worn the Real Madrid jersey as a player at one point.
Meanwhile, Enrique’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs until the summer of 2027, with the French club’s management making continuous efforts to renew it and offer him an astronomical salary, amidst significant interest from several English clubs.
It is worth noting that during his time with Barcelona (from 2014 to 2017), Enrique led the Catalan club to a historic treble, winning a total of nine titles in 181 matches. These included two La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey titles, and the last Champions League title for the Blaugrana, in addition to a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup.
