The debate continues regarding Mohamed Salah’s future and whether he will leave Liverpool next summer or fulfill his contract until the summer of 2027.
The “Egyptian King’s” performance has declined significantly this season, and he has several disagreements with the Reds’ management and coach Arne Slott, opening the door for his departure from Anfield next summer.
It has been reported that Saudi club Al-Ittihad has already begun negotiations with Salah, who is reportedly open to a move to the Saudi league with a staggering salary that could reach €100 million annually.
However, recent reports from England indicate that Salah wants to stay at Liverpool until the end of his contract in the summer of 2027, despite agreeing to the move to the Saudi league.
The 33-year-old is not opposed to a reduced role and a place on the bench next season in order to remain in the Premier League for another year.
Salah also sees no financial incentive to leave, as his salary is approximately £21 million annually.
For its part, Liverpool’s management would prefer Salah to leave in the summer and reap a financial benefit from his departure, fearing that his role might diminish next season and that his conflict with the manager, whether it be Slott or someone else, might recur, negatively impacting the dressing room.
