Bild reported that Manchester United is interested in signing Borussia Dortmund star Job Bellingham and will attempt to do so in the upcoming winter transfer window, even if it seems extremely difficult.
Bellingham moved to Dortmund last summer from Sunderland for €30 million. He was expected to follow in the footsteps of his brother Jude, who enjoyed a successful career at Signal Iduna Park and eventually ended up at Real Madrid in a deal valued at €100 million.
However, things are not going as planned for Job. He has only made four starts this season and five substitute appearances, while his relationship with coach Niko Kovac has deteriorated, leaving him extremely frustrated and increasing his desire to leave the Bundesliga.
According to Bild, Manchester United is a big fan of Bellingham, and coach Ruben Amorim is convinced of the young English player’s abilities and favors the idea of signing him, believing he will bring vitality and energy to the midfield.
The Red Devils are expected to make a move in January to sign Bellingham, but Dortmund will likely not agree to a sale now and will prefer to wait until next summer, considering the 20-year-old is considered a long-term investment for the Rhineland club.
Meanwhile, Manchester United isn’t the only club interested in signing Job Bellingham. Crystal Palace and several other English clubs are also closely monitoring the player’s situation, who has successfully established himself in the English Premier League.
