Islam Abdel-Maguid, Hossam Abdel-Maguid’s brother, said that the Zamalek star may leave the White Castle in January, noting that he is currently working to secure a distinguished European offer for his brother to take the next step in his career.
Hossam Abdel-Maguid’s contract with Zamalek still extends until the summer of 2027, and Hussein Labib’s management is attempting to renew it, considering the young player is one of the best central defenders in Egyptian football currently.
The brother of the Zamalek star said that what was circulated a few days ago about Hossam signing with a Spanish marketing company is inaccurate. The Egyptian international signed with this company a year ago to market himself internationally, and it was not a recent move or an immediate intention to leave Zamalek.
He added, “Hossam will renew his contract with Zamalek before moving in any direction. Any step taken in his future will be through Zamalek alone.”
He concluded, “There is an offer being worked on now (a European offer) for the upcoming January transfer window, and I hope it goes smoothly.”
The Zamalek management is currently seeking to renew Hossam Abdel-Maguid’s contract, but if negotiations between the two parties fail, he will be allowed to leave for any European club in exchange for a large sum of money that would help the club overcome the stifling financial crisis it is experiencing.
