Surprise… Barcelona could rid La Liga of Javier Tebas!

La Liga President Javier Tebas finds himself in serious trouble after a memorandum filed against him by Miguel Galán, president of the Association for Transparency and Democracy in Sport, by the High Sports Council. The memorandum details multiple violations he committed, specifically against Barcelona.

Tebas is one of the most controversial figures in Spanish football, known for his major disagreements with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez. His strict Financial Fair Play regulations have also led to the suffocation of most La Liga clubs, most notably Barcelona.

According to the newspaper “AS,” Galán accuses Tebas of multiple breaches of confidentiality and five very serious offenses by disclosing private information about FC Barcelona.

These violations include breaching confidentiality and disclosing specific details about Barcelona’s corporate operations, including details of auditor changes and information about Barcelona’s financial situation, as well as disclosing reports and internal communications from the center.

If the High Council for Sport confirms the accuracy of this information, it will refer it to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. This will ultimately lead to the immediate end of Javier Tebas’s reign as La Liga president.

It is worth noting that part of the case relates to the Neco Williams deal. Tebas reportedly contacted the player’s camp and informed them that the economic situation in Barcelona was extremely difficult, ultimately leading to the player’s decision to renew his contract with Athletic Bilbao and reject a move to the Catalan club.
