Stuttgart star Denis Undav hinted at a move for his teammate Angelo Stiller to Real Madrid in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Reports have emerged of Real Madrid’s interest in signing the German midfielder, based on a direct recommendation from Toni Kroos, as part of Xabi Alonso’s desire to sign a new midfielder.
Stiller is on a list that includes several players, including Vitinha, Alexis Mac Allister, and Enzo Fernandez, but he appears to be the most logical option due to his relatively modest price tag of just €40 million.
On Saturday, Stuttgart won the DFB-Pokal, Stiller assisted two goals in the final against Arminia Bielefeld. This was the southern German club’s first title since 2007.
After the match, during the celebrations in Stuttgart, a reporter asked Undav, sitting next to Stuttgart and captain Atakan Karazor, if they would both be at the club next season.
Undav’s response sparked controversy, saying, “This guy (Karazur) and I will definitely be at Stuttgart next season. Stiller? Hala Madrid.”
The video subsequently went viral. Although Undav’s comments were meant to be a joke, they actually fueled speculation that Stiller was in direct negotiations with Real Madrid and had accepted the idea of a move to the Santiago Bernabéu.
Until last month, Stiller had said he wanted to stay with Stuttgart until at least the 2026 World Cup, but with Real Madrid joining, things have changed completely.
