Liverpool coach Arne Slot announced Federico Chiesa’s absence from the Reds’ match against Bologna on Tuesday due to injury.
During the press conference, the Dutchman revealed that his Italian star was injured suddenly in training on Monday.
Slot told the media, “He was injured yesterday, I don’t expect him to be ready for the Bologna match.”
As for Chiesa’s position regarding participating against Crystal Palace on Saturday, Slot confirmed that he will undergo further tests to determine the nature of the injury and his readiness for the match scheduled at Anfield.
In the same context, Slot confirmed that Diogo Jota has recovered from the minor injury he suffered in the Wolverhampton match last Saturday and will be able to participate against Bologna.
It is worth noting that Liverpool won their first Champions League match against Milan 3-1 at the San Siro stadium.
