Saudi Arabia in a “Middle-Strength” Group for the 2025 Gold Cup

The draw for the 2025 Gold Cup was held on Friday morning, resulting in a middle-strength group for the Saudi national team, which is participating in the North American competition for the first time in its history.

As is the historical custom, 15 teams from CONCACAF will participate, with one remaining place awarded by invitation to a team from outside North America.

The Saudi national team is the second Arab team to participate in the Gold Cup, after Qatar, which finished fourth in its last participation.

The 2025 Gold Cup is scheduled to be held in the United States, and the Saudi national team was drawn alongside the host nation in Group D.

In addition to the United States, Saudi Arabia will face Trinidad and Tobago and Haiti, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals.

The Gold Cup will run from June 14 to July 5, with Al-Hilal players absent from the Saudi national team due to their participation in the 2025 Club World Cup during the same period.

The 2025 Gold Cup group is as follows:

Group A

Mexico – Costa Rica – Suriname – Dominican Republic.

Group B

Canada – Honduras – El Salvador – Curaçao.

Group C

Panama – Jamaica – Guatemala – Guadeloupe.

Group D
