Mohamed Salah continued his distinguished record in the first round of the Premier League, this time in the 2025-26 season at Anfield.
The Egyptian international scored a last-minute goal for Liverpool against Bournemouth, leading the Reds to three points in the opening match of their Premier League title defense.
With this goal, Salah became the first player in Premier League history to score 10 goals in the first round of a match!
Salah scored against Watford in 2017, West Ham in 2018, and Norwich City in 2019. He also scored a hat-trick against Leeds in 2020, a goal against Norwich City in 2021, a goal against Fulham in 2022, a goal against Ipswich Town in 2024, and finally a goal against Bournemouth in 2025.

Salah also holds the record for most assists in the opening Premier League match, with 15.
In general, since joining Liverpool, Salah has contributed at least one goal in every opening Premier League match, scoring in all but one of them against Chelsea in 2023, when he provided an assist.
The Egyptian King made history with this goal, as it was his 106th at Anfield for Liverpool, making him the most goalscorer for an English team at home, tied with Sergio Agüero at the Etihad Stadium for Manchester City.
