Salah: Messi is the greatest of all time and better than Maradona

Without hesitation, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah chose Lionel Messi as the greatest left-footed player in football history.

The Egyptian international gave an interview to L’Equipe, during which he was asked about his preferences among different players with a distinctive left foot.

He began by comparing Ryan Giggs with James Rodriguez, and Salah chose the Welsh star due to his continuity, which also favored him over Algerian Riyad Mahrez in the eyes of the “Egyptian King.”

Salah then chose Angel Di María as better than Giggs, Gareth Bale, Mesut Özil, and Arjen Robben. He then preferred Antoine Griezmann over him and Hristo Stoichkov, before choosing Rivaldo without hesitation as better than the French star.

Then came the comparison between Rivaldo and Diego Armando Maradona, and Salah chose the Argentine legend.

As soon as the broadcaster brought up the comparison between Maradona and Lionel Messi, Salah didn’t hesitate to choose the Flea. Before even asking him what the next name was (which was Salah), the Egyptian quickly and confidently chose Messi.

Salah’s admiration for Messi is not new. Since his time at El Mokawloon, he has repeatedly expressed his love for the Barcelona legend. After becoming a Liverpool legend, he has repeatedly affirmed that Messi is the greatest in history.
