Ronaldo: My children wanted Spain to win the UEFA Nations League!

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo revealed that his children were cheering for Spain against the Sailors in the UEFA Nations League final.

With the exception of his eldest son, Junior, Ronaldo’s other children with his Spanish-Argentine girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, seem to be more drawn to the land of the Matador than Portugal, thanks to their mother.

Ronaldo participated in Portugal’s penalty shootout victory over Spain to win the UEFA Nations League for the second time in history. The 40-year-old scored a goal and lifted his third international title.

After the match, Ronaldo said of his family, “My children are Spanish and they joke with me at home to annoy me by telling me that the tournament will be Spain’s.”

He added, “But now that they’ve seen their father win the title, they’ll respect their father even more.”

Junior Ronaldo made his debut for the Portugal national team a few weeks ago, leading the under-15 team to victory in a friendly tournament, scoring three goals.
