A brief teaser clip featuring Cristiano Ronaldo alongside Piers Morgan has gone viral on social media. The clip, a promotional video for an upcoming Tuesday episode, shows Ronaldo discussing his former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney’s claim that Lionel Messi is a better player than him.
Ronaldo has typically referred to himself as the best in the world without directly comparing himself to Messi, but this time he responded directly to Rooney’s comments.
When asked about Rooney’s remarks, Ronaldo told Morgan, “Messi is better than me? I don’t agree with him, and I won’t be modest.”
The clip also included Ronaldo saying he almost cries when he thinks about retiring from football.
Ronaldo recently renewed his contract with Al-Nassr until the summer of 2027 and hopes to end his career with a major achievement, either reaching 1,000 goals or winning the 2026 World Cup with Portugal.
